I added this exhaust valve eliminator to my 2011 R1200GSA at 226,000 miles. Yes, 226,000 and the original exhaust valve worked fine. The benefit of this item is shedding about 2 pounds from the bike and de-cluttering. Wish I had done this long ago, but was wary of noise, performance and electronic faults. There is zero distinguishable difference in noise or performance. Also no issues with fault codes.
